<繫田穂波さん 紹介>
命の循環をテーマに、水棲生物を用いて生命のしたたかさや儚さを描くアーティストです。絵具の層を彫って描く流線で、その生命から感じ取る息吹を表現しています。ペン画制作を通して生まれる廃棄物への違和感をきっかけに、岩や土、貝殻などを用いた日本画絵具に着目し、現在はミクストメディア作品を制作しています。さらに、不要になったブイに新たな命を吹き込むアップサイクルアートにも力を注いでいます。
世界中の海を旅するウミガメのように、ごみになってしまったモノたちも旅を終え、このプロダクトを手に取ってくださる方のもとへ届いてほしい。そんな想いから生まれた、水棲生物画家・繁田穂波さんとの初のコラボ商品です。 海を悠々と渡るウミガメの生命力を感じさせるデザインとなっています。

buøyの製品は、着色などの加工を一切加えず、海岸に漂着し回収された海洋プラスチックそのものの色味を活かしています。明るい発色が魅力の素材ですが、複数の色が混ざり合うことで、有機的なモザイク模様に。ひとつとして同じ表情がない、世界に一つだけの製品です。
また、全ての製品に回収場所を明記しており、シールのＱＲコードからは回収団体の紹介ページへアクセスすることができます。その素材がどこで誰によってどんな思いで拾い集められたのか、その背景も一緒にお楽しみください。

<About Honami Shigeta>
Honami Shigeta is an artist who explores the cycle of life through aquatic creatures, expressing both the resilience and fragility of living beings. Using flowing lines carved through layers of paint, she captures the breath and vitality she senses within each life form. Prompted by her discomfort with the waste generated through pen drawing, she turned her attention to traditional Japanese painting pigments made from natural materials such as rocks, earth, and shells, and now creates mixed-media works. She is also dedicated to upcycled art, breathing new life into discarded buoys.
Like sea turtles that journey across oceans around the world, we hope that objects once destined to become waste can complete their own journey and find their way into the hands of someone who will cherish them. This idea gave rise to our first collaborative product with aquatic life artist Honami Shigeta. The design evokes the vitality of sea turtles as they travel gracefully across the sea.

buøy products make full use of the original colors of marine plastic collected from coastlines, without adding any coloring or surface treatment. These materials are known for their vivid hues, and when multiple colors blend together, they create organic mosaic-like patterns. No two pieces are ever the same—each product is truly one of a kind.
In addition, every product indicates the location where the material was collected, and the QR code on the sticker links to a page introducing the collection group. We hope you will enjoy not only the product itself, but also the story behind the material—where it was found, who collected it, and the thoughts and care that went into gathering it.
